Get where you need to go before the weather gets bad. Winter weather has been fairly mild so far in Virginia this year, with a few exceptions. But no one can forget the recent hours-long backups and stalled traffic on main roads that resulted from recent winter storms. With that in mind, a new winter preparedness message for Virginians is being promoted this year by Ready Virginia and local public affairs officials: Get where you need to go before the weather gets bad. A new PSA highlighting this message was produced by the Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management and customized for Ready Virginia.
