Va. Emergency Managers Attend Preparedness Course at Nat’l Hurricane Center

Virginia emergency managers in attendance of the “Hurricane Preparedness for Decision Makers” course held at the National Hurricane Center (NHC)  in Miami, Florida, received training from FEMA and USACE representatives on new data and technology to use in organizing future Virginia hurricane evacuation plans. The technology included the computer software HURREVAC for determining the best possible timing for evacuation decisions and orders.
